¹⁷ when Zabdiel the Arab cut off Alexander’s head and sent it to Ptolemy. ¹⁸ However, three days later King Ptolemy died, and his men in the fortified cities were killed by the inhabitants there. ¹⁹ Thus Demetrius became king in the year one hundred and sixty-seven.
